The Fertile Void
2003 - ongoing
Golf is an archetypal game, played as a journey through an Arcadian landscape. The course as a site is complex and contradictory, enveloping the idyllic and serene, while necessitating constant maintenance to hold its dominance over the land’s indigenous nature.
The Fertile Void is a series of on-going installations on various golf course topographies. In each instance a different material is used and a different pattern is formed, contextualized to reflect upon the specific conditions of the site.
